Rick Warren writes: “ Your abilities are at the natural talents your were born with. Rick continues to say a common excuse people give for, not serving is they just don’t have any abilities to offer. Every ability can be use for God’s glory.”
In my about How to Build a Food Ministry Volunteer Staff, Part One I talked about “Spiritual Gifts Assessments”. In Part Two I talked about the “Heart”. What I want to talk about today is your “Abilities”, that relates to Food Ministry Volunteer Staff.
We all have natural abilities in life that we don’t know we have, but gravitate towards. I use to resist what my abilities that I am naturally gifted in because I didn’t want to be in the kitchen. The reason is I didn’t like the day to day running of a restaurant. I felt that was it boring and want to stay busy throughout the day. I even went to work for a corporation where I won’t have to cook. Then one-day someone decided not to come to work and there I go, back cooking. God has a way to put you in a situation, so you have to use those abilities you don’t want to use.
Like, Love, Live Without
If you were to look at the S.H.A.P.E. assessment, they would give you multitudes of specialized abilities that are fairly common. They even go as far to have you list it as Like It, Love It, Can’t Live Without It. Can you list thing you can’t live without it?. I bet you can.
Don’t underestimate your abilities, we all have them. Even if your actions can clearly express you have God given talent. We have a way of, not accepting our talents because of our doubtful ways of, not excepting what God has given us. But, people around can clearly see you have talent even if you don’t.
